Why Christians don't slaughter people.

As I was on twitter today a statement was brought to my attention. A bible verse in Deut. 13 the punishment of the Apostates to kill idolaters and even your kids. The laws of Moses. Today we follow the laws that govern the land. As do the Muslims who follow their laws according to their land. Which the bible tells us to do Romans 13:1-5 (Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but too bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.) John 117 (For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.) Galatians 3:24, says that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. In other words the whole job of the law was to show man that we can not be good enough on our own, that we need Christ. The law was in place to lead us to Christ, who is the only person ever to keep the entire law and lead a sinless life. Once, we come into a relationship with Christ we no longer need the law. There are other verses but I leave you to your investigation. Jesus came not to abolish the laws"...that is close. What he said was that he came to FULFILL the Law and the prophets. In other words, everything that was required in the law, Jesus fulfilled. He didn't come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it AND all of its punishments, including death. Jesus took that for all mankind on the cross. So what you are reading into is ancient history. Sharia law is still the Muslims law. I welcome your logical feedback.
